About Touch screen test

Draw on the screen with one or more fingers and every touch leaves a coloured trail. If a section stays blank, that area may be a dead zone, and if lines break up or appear where you did not touch, the digitiser may be failing or the screen may be dirty.

How to use Touch screen test

  1. Open the page on the touch screen you want to test.
  2. Draw with one finger, then with two, three or more at once.
  3. Look for gaps, broken lines or areas that do not respond.

Frequently asked questions

How many touch points should my screen support?

Most modern phones and tablets track at least five and often ten simultaneous touches. Put several fingers down and count the trails to see what your device reports.

How do I find a dead zone on my screen?

Slowly draw across the whole screen in rows. Any place where the line breaks or does not appear is a dead zone, and it may need a screen protector removed or cleaned first.

Why do my lines look jagged?

Jagged or wobbly lines can come from a dirty screen, a thick screen protector or a slow touch controller. Clean the glass and try without the protector to compare.

Is Touch screen test free?

Yes. Touch screen test on Toolipedia is free to use, with no sign-up and no watermark.

Is it safe to use?

Yes. Everything is worked out in your browser, and nothing you enter is sent to our server.

Yes. It works in any modern browser on Android and iPhone, as well as on tablets and computers. There's nothing to install.

Do I need an account?

No. Just open the page and use the tool. There's no sign-up and no email needed.
