Frequently asked questions

Why is my controller not detected?

Browsers only show a gamepad after you press a button on it. Connect it first, press any button, and if nothing appears try another USB port or cable, or re-pair it over Bluetooth.

What does stick drift look like here?

If the stick is left alone and the dot does not sit at the centre, or keeps moving, the controller has drift. Small values near zero are common.

Do triggers show partial values?

Analog triggers show how far they are pressed, from nothing to fully pressed. Digital ones simply switch on or off.

Is Gamepad tester free?

Yes. Gamepad tester on Toolipedia is free to use, with no sign-up and no watermark.
