Toolipedia respects your privacy. This page explains in plain words what happens to your data when you use the site.

No accounts

You do not need to sign up, and we do not ask for your name or email address to use a tool.

Your files and text

• Tools marked with a lightning bolt run in your browser. Your files and text are processed on your device and are not sent to us.
• Other tools send your file to our server so it can be converted. The file is processed, sent back to you and deleted right after the conversion. We do not read your files, keep copies or use them for anything else.
• A few tools look something up for you, such as a domain, a website address or an IP address. For these the text you enter is sent to our server, and our server may contact the website you asked about.
• A few tools fetch data from other services when you use them, for example DNS and network lookups, exchange rates or word definitions. Only what is needed for that lookup is sent.

Information we collect automatically

Like most websites, our servers keep technical logs: the address of the page requested, the date and time, the type of browser and the IP address. We use them to keep the site secure, to find and fix errors and to understand how much the site is used. We keep them only as long as we need them for these purposes.

The contact form

If you write to us with the contact form, we receive your name, your email address and your message. We use them only to read and answer your message and we keep them only as long as we need them for that.

Cookies and storage in your browser

Some tools save your settings, drafts or language choice in your own browser (local storage). This data stays on your device and is not sent to us. You can delete it at any time in your browser settings.

Advertising

Toolipedia may show ads from Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies and similar technologies to show ads, to limit how often you see an ad, and to measure how well ads work. They may use information about your visits to this and other websites to show ads that are relevant to you.

• You can manage or turn off personalised ads in your Google Ad Settings.
• You can also opt out of many other companies' personalised ads at aboutads.info or youronlinechoices.eu.
• In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, we ask for your consent before ads that use cookies are shown.

Sharing

We do not sell your data. We share information only with the services that run the site for us (such as hosting and advertising) or when the law requires it.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask what information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, and to object to how it is used. Because we hold very little about you, there is usually little to share, but please contact us on the Contact page and we will help.

Children

Toolipedia is a general-purpose website. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. Please check it from time to time.
