About Integral calculator
Finds the antiderivative of common functions such as polynomials, trig, exponentials and 1/x, and gives the exact value of a definite integral between two limits. Remember that indefinite integrals carry a constant of integration, + C, which definite integrals drop when you subtract F(b) - F(a).
How to use Integral calculator
- Type the function of x you want to integrate.
- For a definite integral, enter the lower and upper limits.
- Read the antiderivative or the exact value of the definite integral.

Frequently asked questions
Why does an indefinite integral have + C?
Many functions differ only by a constant and share the same derivative, so the antiderivative is not unique. The + C stands for that unknown constant.
What does a definite integral represent?
It is the signed area between the curve and the x-axis from the lower to the upper limit. Area below the axis counts as negative, so the total can be smaller than the visible area.
How can I check my antiderivative is right?
Differentiate the answer. If you get back your original function, the antiderivative is correct. The derivative calculator on this site can do that check for you.
Is Integral calculator free?
Yes. Integral calculator on Toolipedia is free to use, with no sign-up and no watermark.
Is it safe to use?
Yes. Everything is worked out in your browser, and nothing you enter is sent to our server.
Does it work on my phone?
Yes. It works in any modern browser on Android and iPhone, as well as on tablets and computers. There's nothing to install.
