About URL encoder, decoder & parser
Percent-encodes text so it is safe inside a link, turning a space into %20 and an ampersand into %26, and decodes it back. It can also split a full URL into scheme, host, path and query parameters. Encoding the value, not the whole address, avoids breaking the slashes and question marks.

Frequently asked questions
Should I encode the whole URL or just a value?
Encode only the parts that carry data, like a query value. Encoding the entire URL would also turn its slashes and colons into codes and break the link.
What does percent-encoding look like?
Unsafe characters are replaced by a percent sign and two hex digits. For example a space becomes %20, so the text can travel safely inside a web address.
Why does decoding give strange results?
Text that was encoded twice needs decoding twice, and a stray percent sign can break the process. Decode again if you still see percent codes in the output.
