About IMEI checker

Tests a phone's 15-digit IMEI with the Luhn check and explains the parts: the first eight digits are the Type Allocation Code identifying the model, then a serial number, then a check digit. Dial *#06# on most phones to see yours. It does not say whether a phone is blacklisted.

How to use IMEI checker

  1. Enter the 15-digit IMEI number.
  2. Run the check.
  3. See if it is valid and what its digit groups mean.

Frequently asked questions

How do I find my IMEI?

Dial *#06# on the phone's keypad. It is also printed on the SIM tray or the back of many devices, and shown in the settings under About phone.

How is an IMEI validated?
