About Sprite sheet splitter

Give it a sprite sheet or any picture laid out in a grid, set the number of columns and rows or the tile size, and it saves every frame as its own PNG. Use it to recover animation frames, icons or tileset pieces. Wrong tile sizes cut sprites in half.

How to use Sprite sheet splitter

  1. Add the sprite sheet or grid image.
  2. Enter the number of columns and rows, or the size of each frame.
  3. Check the grid lines in the preview and save the PNG frames.

Frequently asked questions

My frames are cut off. What went wrong?

The grid does not match the sheet. Check the exact frame width and height, include any spacing or margin between sprites, and make sure columns times width equals the image width.

How do I know the right frame size?

Divide the sheet's width by the number of columns and its height by the rows. If the result is not a whole number, the sheet has padding or an uneven grid.

What if my sprite sheet has gaps between frames?

Look for a spacing or margin setting and enter the gap size in pixels. Check the preview lines so each box sits exactly over a frame before saving.
