Will greyscale actually save ink?
Usually yes, because colour inks are no longer mixed in for graphics and photos. Savings depend on your printer, so print a test page first. Some printers still use colour ink for black unless you set them to grayscale.
Do the photos in my PDF still look good in greyscale?
Photos turn into shades of grey, so contrast between similar colours can fade. Red and green areas may look alike. Check the result on screen before printing a long document, especially charts that rely on colour.
