No. It only changes how data is written and is easy to reverse, so never use it to hide passwords or secrets.
Why does Base64 make data bigger?
Every three bytes become four characters, so the encoded text is about 33% larger than the original.
How do I turn an image into Base64?
Add the image file in encode mode. The result can be used as a data URL inside CSS or an img tag, though large images make the text very long.
Why does my Base64 text fail to decode?
Line breaks, missing padding equals signs or URL-safe characters can break decoding. Remove stray whitespace and make sure the string is complete.
