Frequently asked questions
How do I type diacritics like fatha and shadda?
Use the diacritics row or the shift layer of the keyboard. Type the letter first, then the mark, because Arabic marks attach to the letter that comes before them.
Can I paste the Arabic text into Word or a website?
Yes, copy it and paste it anywhere that supports Arabic text. If the letters look disconnected in an app, the app may need a right-to-left setting or the Arabic text fixer tool.
Why does my cursor move strangely when I type Arabic?
Arabic is written right to left, so new letters appear to the left of the previous one. Mixed Arabic and English lines can feel odd, but the text is stored in the correct order.
Is Online Arabic keyboard free?
Yes. Online Arabic keyboard on Toolipedia is free to use, with no sign-up and no watermark.
