About MP3 tag editor

Edit the ID3 tags inside an MP3: title, artist, album, year, track number, genre and cover art. Correct tags make files sort properly in players and phones. Arabic and other non-Latin text is supported, which avoids the garbled characters seen with some older tag editors.

How to use MP3 tag editor

  1. Choose an MP3 file from your device.
  2. Edit the title, artist, album, year, track, genre or cover art.
  3. Save the changes and download the updated MP3.

Frequently asked questions

Why does my MP3 show the wrong album art?

Players read the cover from the file tags or cache it. Replace the cover image in the tag editor, save, and then refresh the song in your player.

Will editing tags change the sound quality?

No. Tags are stored separately from the audio, so changing the title or cover art does not alter how the music sounds.

What size should the cover art be?

A square image works best, and around 500 to 1000 pixels per side is enough for most players. Very large images only make the file bigger without a visible gain.
